Nicole Bradford

Global Head of Responsible Investment, Cbus Super Fund

Nicole Bradford is the Portfolio Head, Responsible Investment for Cbus Super, a A$55 billion Australian superannuation fund. In this role Nicole is responsible for setting the strategic direction for integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters into investment decision-making and active ownership.

She has worked both in private industry and consulting and has lived in UK, Japan and Australia. Prior to taking up the role at Cbus, Nicole was Environmental and Social Risk Leader, Asia Pac. for GE Capital with a focus on private market investments across Asia including China, Japan, India and Australia. She received several accolades during her time at GE Capital as recognition for her global and Asia Pacific thought leadership on sustainability. Prior to joining GE Capital, Nicole worked in the UK for global environmental engineering consulting firms, URS and Golder Associates, providing sustainability and corporate responsibility strategy for FTSE listed clients in financials and energy utilities.

Nicole commenced her working career in Federal government. She worked at Commonwealth Department for Environment and Heritage on major environmental regulatory reforms and also CSIRO Land and Water, the lead scientific organisation in Australia where she co-authored several scientific publications.

Nicole is on the Member Council for the Australian Council for Superannuation Investors (ACSI); Co-Chair Mobilising Capital WG for Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative (ASFI); Chair, Transition to Net Zero Working Group for the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC). She is often sought after to share her thought leadership on responsible investment at conferences. She holds a BSc (REM); Master of Environmental Law; Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance (FINSIA); Graduate Diploma in Psychology; GAICD.
